Kent on two wheels

We are back after summer break , now we have two bicycles and we get to see more of Kent that way .
There are really good cycle routes away from the main roads .
We took cycle route 1 all the way to Deal from Canterbury ,its a fantastic trip through the country side .
Its always good to find a pub at the end of the trip , which gives you the energy for the long trip back.
In future we going to describe more cycles routes .

Margate is worth a visit !

I meet someone from Margate and heard about Dreamland .
I was a famous amusement place but now is derelict .
There a plan to make it a museum of fairground , the council are promoting the idea .
The roller coaster will be restored its world famous .
Also there is the shell grotto . Its in the back streets . They say it is Roman but this is unlikely !

Where is Canterbury ?

Dear Marie ,
you will find Canterbury in the South East corner of England. It's only 20 km from Dover ( Douvres) at the Centre of East Kent. you can get there easily from Paris. You get off at Ashford (2 hrs from Paris) and it's 20 min by local train.
It is a historic city, famous for the martyr St Thomas who was murdered by the King's knights in 1184. the cathedral is the most beautiful in england. Its built of French stone and was designed by a French architect
- William of Sens. You should come and visit!
By the way green tea it's good for your body
Voila hope you are happy with my answer
Please don't hesitate to ask me more questions

On the way we found sign to Jackson HQ!!!

Workers in the tower

If you walk round the north side of Canterbury city , this is where the city wall used to be ,it was destroyed in the C18th. But the towers were left behind , some of them are houses but one is architect office .Anthony Swaine , he is the oldest architect in England (he like to speak in French with me he's so cute )he's in the ground floor , you take the stairs up and you see a modern architect office and you can meet my best friend Clive is architect too and David architect too , no surprise its an architect office.
